GENSE TECHNOLOGIES’ portable, self-service medical imaging devices provide a cost-effective solution to preventative screening and chronic disease monitoring.

Used in both home and clinical settings, the company’s devices enable early detection and management of chronic liver, lung, and kidney diseases, which are among the costliest conditions to detect and monitor.

The team behind the award-winning start-up comprises 15 researchers from prestigious institutions including Stanford University, Cambridge University, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The company has also established partnerships with numerous universities and international life science and technology institutions for clinical trials and engineering research.

Thanks to GENSE TECHNOLOGIES’ devices, imaging scans can be performed at a patient’s home without requiring significant professional training. The device system uses cloud machine learning algorithms to generate results. Currently, GENSE TECHNOLOGIES’ equipment has been adopted by the Hong Kong government and deployed in public hospitals for remote monitoring of recovered COVID-19 patients.

Healthcare distributors from over 20 worldwide markets have also approached the company to use its devices locally, including private hospital networks, clinic chains, health insurance companies, and multinational groups.
